Is it free?
Ans: Listing your business is free. We also have a premium Listing Service
I have a website and I want to add a chat button in my website. Can I do that?
Ans: Yes you can add a chat now button on your own website so that visitors on your website as well as visitors on your gettherating.com listing can chat with you. For this you need to have access to edit your website code. Follow these steps to add a chat button in your own website:
1) go to my Account
2) click on get chat button source code
3) copy the source code and place it appropriately on your website.

Do I need to sign-up any contract?
Ans: There is no Contract. You may cancel your subscription at any time.
Can I proactively invite my webpage visitor to chat with me ?
Ans: Short answer is "No". The "Chat Button" is clearly visible to every visitor in the listing. If the visitors want to chat, they are going to click on the chat button and start the conversation. On the otherhand if they are not interested in chatting with you, they are going to ignore the chat request even when you invite them. Please leave us a note with your comments if you think otherwise.
What is your cancellation policy?
Ans: You may cancel your subscription at any time. If you do not cancel your subscription prior to the end of its term, it will get renewed automatically. If you cancel your subscription, you are NOT eligible for a prorated refund of any portion of the subscription fee paid for the then-current subscription period. Please be aware that if you deactivate your premium membership during your billing cycle after having canceled the Subscription, you will forfeit any remaining time on the Subscription. So only deactivate your account if you have no intention of using your Subscriber benefits.
What will happen to my listings if i cancel premium membership ?
Ans: Your listing will be still active(without chat support). You may delete your lisitng if you don't want to display your listing to public any more.
What is a listing?
Ans: A listing is a web page we create for your business. Inside your listing you can have:
1. A short description about your business or product
2. Reviews and ratings from your customers
3. Upload images
4. Add deals
5. Chat online with your visitors. If you are not online, visitors can send you offline messages that will be delivered to your mail box
6. A location map
Do I need to have my own website to get listed?
Ans: No! You don't need to own a website. Simply create a listing for your business with gettherating.com and you are good to go! Many of our subscribers are small business without a website. Gettherating.com listing will help you to get rid of all the headaches of owning a website and still market your business online. There is no technical knowledge required. Business owner can create multiple listings as per his business needs. For example if a real estate agent may create separate page for each property for sale, and add description and images. Or an owner of a restaurant chain creating separate listings for each of his/her restaurants. Users visiting any of your listings can easily chat with you or send you an offline message*(for premium members)
Can I create listing for different businesses or add chat window for different businesses using my premium account?
Ans: No that is against our Service Agreement Policy. One Premium Account is licensed to use one business profile. You can create multiple listings for the same business. For example a Restaurant Owner creating multiple listings for each of the menu items, or an electronic store owner creating multiple listing for each of their electronic items. But One should not create listings for two different businesses. We will terminate the accounts that are violating our user agreement policy.
how many listing can I add?
Ans: A user can add up to 10 listings about his business. However you are not allowed to create duplicate or identical listings. If you need to create more than 10 listings, please contact customer service
Can I chat with multiple users concurrently?
Ans: Yes
I have created a listing. Can anybody write a review about my listing?
Ans: Yes. Any registered user can post a review in your listing.
I have multiple listings. Can I have separate deals for each of these listings?
Ans: Yes! You can have separate deals for each of your listings.
I already have a business website. Why should I have another a listing again?
Ans: Many of our listings owners have their own website. If you have a website, you can add your website link in your listing. Listing with gettherating.com will help you improve traffic to your website or even drive more direct sales. Most importantly you can chat with visitors on your listing(s) and visitors on your website(s).
Do I need to write any HTML code to integrate Chat?
Ans: No! Chat will be enabled on your listing automatically after you have subscribed to our premium service. All what you need is a browser to access your admin section. However if you want to add a chat window to your own website, you need to install our chat script on your web site.
Do I need to install any program in my computer?
Ans: No! All what you need is a JavaScript enabled web browser. We support all major browsers.
How do I create a listing?
Ans: Creating a listing on GetTheRating involves two easy steps:
(a) Register with gettherating.com and confirm your email.
(b) Start creating your listing
I am a premium member. How do start using chat?
Ans:
1) Login to your account and click on the "my account" tab at the top
2) Click on the "log into chat" button
Can I know from which listing or website the user is chatting with me?
Ans: Yes
Can I see the chat history?
Ans: Yes
Can I see the offline message history?
Ans: Yes
How My listing gets promoted?
Ans: Thousands of internet users are visiting gettherating.com everyday searching for various products and services. We will display appropriate listing in the search results based on what user is searching for.
How can I promote my listing?
Ans: You are free to promote your listing just the way you would promote your own website. (blogs, adwords or any legal promotional activities.)
You have mentioned No Technical knowledge required. Is that true?
Ans: Yes that’s correct! No coding is required, not even editing html pages if you are using gettherating.com listing. All what you need to do is fill the forms. However if you have a website and wanted to add a chat button on your website, you need to install the chat button source code in your website.
Explain me how can I start chatting with my listing visitors.
Ans: 1) Login to gettherating.com and go to "My Account"
2) Click on "Chat Login button" to login to your Chat Admin Page. Every user visiting your listing will see a "Live Chat" Button and they can initiate a chat session with you by clicking this button.
Can I initiate a chat with website visitors?
Ans: No. The Chat No button is clearly visible to the visitors and they can initiate a chat session with you if they are interested. If you need this feature, please contact our support team.
What If I have not logged in to my "Chat Admin Page" when the user clicks on "Chat Now" button?
Ans: Users will be directed to a "Contact Form" if you are not online. Their message will be delivered to your email account registered with us and a copy will be saved in your "My Message" Section.
I have logged in online But I am not able to chat.
Ans: Check if you have disabled JavaScript. Your browser has to be JavaScript enabled in order for you to chat.
I am a consultants and I have got 100s of clients. Can I create a listing each of my clients using my premium account?
Ans: No. One premium account needs to be used for one business. Using the same premium account for listing different businesses is violation of our user agreement. We will terminate the accounts that are violating our user agreement policy.
Do I need to install anything on my computer to enable chat support?
Ans: No.
I am a business owner and I have created multiple listings. Can visitors to any of these listing can chat with me?
Ans: Yes absolutely! Users can chat with you from any of your listings. You can also chat with visitors on your own website if you have added our chat button code in your website.
What is your policy on adult contents?
Ans: No adult contents are allowed.
Can I chat with visitors on my website and visitors on my listing at getTheRating.com at the same time?
Ans: yes both visitors to your website and visitors to gettherating.com listing can chat with you.
I am a premium member, and want to add a chat button in my own website. But I don't want to create a listing in gettherating.com. Is that possible?
Ans:No. You need to have atleast one listing created with GetTheRating.com to activate chat support. It is a free lunch anyways, so why not make use of it. However if you have any special requirement of not to list in our business directory, please contact us. Note that creating a listing with gettherating.com (at no extra cost!) may help you to drive more traffic to your own website or more sales leads.
One customer wrote a bad review about me. Can I remove it?
Ans: Ooops! No but No. We will not remove bad reviews.
