Fine Italian Dining

The original Old Chicago restaurant in downtown Colorado Springs is widely known for having the best Italian food in the area as well as the best atmosphere. With its dark paneling and old world elegance, Old Chicago is the perfect setting for a special meal. Although Old Chicago has several other locations on the north side of Colorado Springs, the downtown location on Tejon Street remains the most eloquent. The Italian Nachos appetizers simply disappear no matter how large the group. The specialty pizzas such as the Chicago 7, are spectacular, but my favorite menu item is always their lasagna. The food can’t be beat and the wait staff of young college students couldn’t be friendlier. Any trip to downtown Colorado Springs deserves a stop at Old Chicago. Whether it’s lunch or dinner or a late afternoon snack, entering the heavy front doors of Old Chicago makes you feel like you stepped into the Italian section of Chicago, Boston or New York.
