If you travel a lot you have probably encountered a Rainforest Café, but for those who do not travel to very many touristy destinations the very popular Rainforest Café opened a few years ago in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Located inside the giant, and very busy, Great Lakes Crossing Mall, Rainforest Café is perhaps the best restaurant inside the mall in both atmosphere and food. This restaurant is a ton of fun for every member of the family. The food is unique, served with flair and always tasting delicious. The service is also very friendly and pretty fast, for such a large eatery. They have great burgers, amazing desserts and an excellent variety. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with fun animals that actually move and make noise as a simulated tropical storm happens every five or ten minutes. The gift shop is an adventure unto itself, with everything from t-shirts and toys to shot glasses and jewelry.
